  1. Outstanding care of acute vision deterioation

    Outstanding fast care from staff, no appointment required for emergency care. Having had decades of sight/hearing issues with many hospital appointments, staff were very understanding of complex issues and how to manage them. NHS/private care with multidisciplinary team updates. I am promoting this service to others with/without accessibility needs and also had referrals from adult A&E Princess Alexandra hospital staff. It is very concerning as an unpaid carer to disabled people when your vision is very blurry and the eye painful due to corneal tear requiring antibiotics and intense preservative free eye drops/eye ointments. This standard of care is not available in a standard optician and would require a fee for emergency appointment. Thank you NHS.
