The scope of practice covered by Podiatric Surgery comprises all surgical procedures for the correction of deformity, the reduction in pain and improvement of function of the foot and associated structures.rnrnThe non-surgical activity is carried out in community clinics and Hospitals.rnrnThe majority of the surgical activity for the south east and the south west is carried out at Orsett Hospital Day Surgery Unit and at the BMI Southend Private Hospital, with ad hoc sessions at Chelmsford Medical Centre. West Essex surgery is undertaken in Oak Unit at St Margaret’s Hospital, Epping.
