Mount Chambers Surgery Feedback

  1. Negligence of the worst kind

I wish I could give zero. My father has been let down in the worst possible way. Saw the nurse practitioner at Mount Chambers who incorrectly referred him to haematology and failed to pick up on the massive red flags for cancer – my father had stomach pain ongoing for weeks and severe sudden weight loss yet he was referred to Haemotology who then DOWNGRADED him to not urgent. 10 weeks on from his first visit he was diagnosed with advanced metastatic pancreatic cancer that is too advanced even for chemotherapy. Absolutely appalled that this wasn’t taken seriously. Was promised an ultrasound which was never arranged. Whilst he may still have been advanced had it been picked up sooner we may have had some treatment options. A family are utterly devastated. Nurse practitioner told them ‘she didn’t think it was anything serious’!

  2. doctor unprofessional, unaproturable

[XXX – edited by HWE] at mount chambers braintree, has been treating me as if i am a child that doesn’t under stand my condition, but it has taken me over 2 and a half years to fight for help to prove i have an on going back condition. chronic pain. [What was good about the service? How do you think this service could be improved? – edited by HWE] I haven’t found any thing good about the service all the good doctors that they had have left. the doctors need to listen and understand that every one is different. treat every one with the same respect.

  3. Appointments never run on time

Feedback via Healthwatch Suffolk at Suffolk show-
When I fractured 2 vertebrae the GP just told me to get some Volterol. Not very helpful.
The appointments generally are 30-45 minutes behind when I go.
