Glennon Chemists Limited Feedback

  1. Staff are overly stressed and VERY RUDE!

The staff are very stressed and very rude. I have been shouted at a few times by a member of staff called ***** and MANY times I had been told that my prescription was not there and after calling my gp to check it had been sent over, it had been every single time and they STILL insisted it wasn’t there. After I persisted they always seemed to then magically find the prescription. As I said, this happened at least 4 times. I also used the home delivery service which was meant to be free but due to my very ill health I needed regular antibiotics and
Emergency medication so they got fed up of delivering and started to threaten to charge me but being bedbound with huge financial difficulties, I couldn’t pay so I had to leave them. They also used to deliver my medications and monthly medications days late sometimes which gave me side effects and infections got worse if I had one. When I would call up upset and worried to chase it all up I would get shouted at down the phone so I would always be so nervous and anxious when I had to call up. My daughter phoned for me a few times in tears and she would also get shouted at. It’s appalling that sick and elderly people are being treated like this! ***** was always the main culprit of all of this but there were other staff members who were abrupt too and even now they have changed hands I believe ***** is still there! It’s shocking.

  2. Excellent experience

I am sight and hearing impaired, struggle with phones and tech. I don’t have or use a landline and prefer face to face communication. A mobile phone is the last resort, I prefer to ask other people to help me. As a retired NHS/private/international pharmacist who has worked with all specialities of the multidisciplinary team in hospital and community, I am patient and have understanding of staff and patients frustration in accessing essential supplies/medicines. I am appalled at the lack of communication/organisation in 3 GP surgeries and so asked the pharmacy staff to assist me in accessing flu/covid vaccinations for myself and daughter as unpaid carers and issues with repeat prescriptions over 6 months. It took a lot of staff time to sort out preventable issues from doctors. While the pharmacy staff were busy I am happy to wait and assist others in need. Discretion/confidentiality is vital and I have enjoyed watching the changes over time as the pharmacy has been upgraded. I promote pharmacies as accessible services with a private room and have educated many. The staff were amazed by my NHS history and I have recently volunteered in many parts of the NHS to improve services on zero budget/common sense. I always take a paper document with my details on to avoid the verbal message which can be overheard by other customers. This helps staff find prescriptions and to deal with queries in a more efficient manner. I have yet to have a text sent when my repeat prescription is ready but I know this works for other people. I collect my prescriptions regularly and am careful to always have supplies in case of supply issues. I enjoy interacting with international people and am happy to educate about my unique disabilities. Thank you. Positive feedback and sharing a smile is the best way to deal with issues as they arise. Plan ahead to avoid the busiest times. I think the pharmacy has a good range of items and provides many services (no appointment needed).

  3. Very Rude

Staff here are very rude, unprofessional,
This will be the end of this chemist. They don’t care, if you dare question them, wow they really get very nasty. Tell you to go. Wrong so wrong. Maybe it should shut, and a new chemist, new staff that have been trained. and understanding. Most of all do there Job.

  4. Unprofessional!

Vindictive to complaints about serve. Withholding prescription because of my accusation of unprofessional service. [What was good about the service? How do you think this service could be improved? – edited by HWE] Professional stall require especially the manager!
