ACE: Early Support Discharge Service for Stroke

The Early Supported Discharge (ESD) for Stroke service provides intensive multidisciplinary specialist rehabilitation at home for people who have had mild to moderate strokes. The ESD team works closely with the Stroke Unit at Colchester Hospital (CHUFT) and Kate Grant Rehabilitation Unit at Clacton Hospital. Once a person who has had a stroke is medically fit, if they would benefit from intensive rehabilitation they are discharged home with support from the ESD service.

  1. i had a stroke while visiting family abroard

    i had a stroke while visiting family abroad sadly i have split with my partner and will be coming back to Colchester single and homeless so looking at building a support network when i get back stroke happened 12/01/2023 was treated and am doing ok on outside but mentally its hard coming to terms with losing of my mind the way it was
