‘Since my mum was discharged from hospital her mobility and care needs have exceeded our ability to look after her.  She needs a care home.   She has no assets or savings at all.  I really need some advice about who pays for a care home, and does she get a choice of where she goes? ’

The school have agreed to support us with evidence on their side, but they are not offering guidance on providers, and it feels like an impossible maze.’
