She is also a dedicated member of our Trauma Ambassador Group, sharing her lived experience with us on our podcast and in our human library sessions. During our 16 Days of Activism, she has previously shared her thoughts on the importance of literacy and education for women and girls, which you can read here.
Talking about the event, Valerie said:
“What a day! What a privilege! I had the honour of attending a private ceremony to celebrate 50 years of the Women’s Aid Federation of England, marking their incredible work in the fight against violence against women and girls. To top it all off, what a rare-lifetime opportunity to meet Her Majesty Queen Camilla, a true advocate for women’s rights and safety. Super grateful to be part of this historic moment, standing alongside amazing changemakers dedicated to this cause. Here’s to continuing the fight and creating a safer, brighter future for all women!”
