Healthwatch Essex is hosting their latest Fella’s Fair comedy event, in collaboration with Lost Sock Productions and Mid and South Essex NHS Foundation Partnership, following the success of their previous ‘Healthy Dose of Humour’ event in Chelmsford earlier this year.
The night features comedy stars such as Ben Norris, who has appeared on the likes of Mock the Week and Never Mind the Buzzcocks, Dave Chawner, a number one best-selling author and award-winning comedian, and Paul McCaffrey, who has performed at the London Apollo Theatre for Live at the Apollo.
Alongside the evening’s comedy entertainment, The Fella’s Fair will importantly include a wide variety of guest speakers who will be talking about their own experiences with their health and wellbeing.
Samantha Glover, the Healthwatch Essex CEO, spoke about the event by saying, “I am really excited about the upcoming Fella’s Fair event at the Halstead Empire. The last comedy show was a fantastic success and a great way to bring an important message to the people of Essex in a fun and relaxed way.
“The Halstead Empire is such a beautiful, historic building and I look forward to filling it with laughter. The line up looks brilliant and the support agencies we have coming have a really important message to deliver and can enjoy themselves in the process.”
Martyn Davies, promoter at Lost Sock Productions, also showed his excitement for the event when he said to us, “The feedback from the last show in June was incredible! Guests expressed they had not laughed that much for a very long time, and rest assured they will be laughing once again in just a few weeks’ time.
“Laughing has so many health benefits, it’s the absolute best tonic for our Mental Health, and having seen the acts perform numerous times before, I just know we are guaranteed another top evening of side splitting laughter!”
