Cobbins Brook Dental Practice Feedback

  1. Unlawful Practices, Terrible Clinic.

I am extremely disappointed with my experience at this practice.

I was left with unresolved dental treatment, including a failed root canal carried out at this practice, followed by ongoing pain that was not adequately reviewed or stabilised. Despite raising concerns about worsening symptoms, I was advised to rely on painkillers rather than being offered appropriate clinical reassessment or interim care.

I am a disabled patient, and the practice was fully aware that standard dental treatment was unsuitable for me. This is why specialist referral pathways were initiated. Despite this, NHS care was withdrawn mid-treatment without safe handover, continuity of care, or appropriate consideration of the impact this would have on a disabled patient already in pain.

I was also deeply concerned by how attendance issues were handled. A late arrival was treated as a failure to attend, and historic issues that had already been sanctioned years earlier were relied upon again, without transparency or provision of the policy supposedly being applied.

The complaints process itself was equally troubling. I was told by phone that my situation would be reviewed, only to receive confirmation of removal from NHS care approximately ten minutes later, suggesting that no meaningful review took place.

Due to the seriousness of these issues, I have escalated my concerns to NHS England and the Parliamentary and Health Service Ombudsman for independent review. I would strongly caution other patients, particularly those with disabilities or complex needs, to consider whether this practice is equipped to provide safe, consistent, and compassionate care.

  2. Excellent NHS/private care

Our family have experienced outstanding care from all staff. Great understanding of disabilities, medical conditions and communication needs. Flexible NHS/private appointments with free parking. We volunteer to help business development and research. It’s easy to update between community and hospital services. We are working together for proactive health education and dental access for all.
Positive feedback and share a smile. Thank you. We are happy to promote this practice to others.
