  1. Audiology

    Excellent, Kathryn goes above and beyond, this is my third visit but twice Kathryn has seen my mother and her gentle and caring manner is a credit to her and the hospital.

  2. Such caring staff

    My Dad was moved here in Dec 2020 from Southend hospital after testing positive for Covid shortly after he developed symptoms The staff were so kind and caring Dad sadly died but the compassion shown to him and my sister will never be forgotten ( tower ward)

  3. Dental department is amazing

    My 11 year old autistic son gets all the support and encouragement from the wonderful staff here. Having huge sensory processing issues is extremely difficult for him to manage everyday experiences and for him to come away from his visits here with a smile on his face is heartfelt for me, his mom. Thank you very much for everything you do.

    I’ve visited the Community a few times for blood tests. I can’t believe how quickly I’ve been seen on each occasion.

  5. Discharge horrific

    My mum was in Brentwood Community Hospital following a stay in Broomfield for lung respiratory failure. She made good progress in hospital and “fit for discharge”, we were told she was going to Winifred Dell for a 8 – 12 week re-enablement package. When she moved to Winifred Dell, the hospital social worker who had pushed the discharge, had not put in place any care package for mum,. she needed an oxygen machine, that was not available and had to be sourced once she got there, she needed pyshio at least once a day, that was not in place and didn’t receive any and she didn’t have a chair she could sit in – medically for her lungs she needed to be upright for a certain amount of time a day. Immediately mum’s health began to decline and within 6 days was readmitted to Broomfield Resus and High Dependency with a repeat Lung Failure. this is entirely due to the fact that the promised re-enablement package was not in place.
    she was in hospital for a further 4 weeks before we have finally got settled in alternative accommodation with a fully implemented care package which began ON THE DAY of DISCHARGE
