With the summer officially here, the Healthwatch Essex team is heading out to events across Essex. After an amazing June, find out which public events the team will attend in July…
In June, we saw the team head across Essex to Essex Pride in Chelmsford, went to the LD Festival in Harlow, had stands up in hospitals, Healthier Habits Hubs, Community Hubs, and more. At these events, we communicated with so many members of the public, either just coming to say hello or find out more information, so thank you to all the people who came and said hello and shared their lived experiences with us! This month, the team also celebrated our Annual Event, where we look back at all the brilliant things the team has achieved over the year. We also celebrated Red4Research in the office, and we won an award from AFIUK. At the end of the month, we saw the team take part in a creative development day, learning about how to best represent Healthwatch Essex through a mascot, taking part in goal-setting activities, and having fun. We also saw our Fella’s Forums out and about this month on another walk and talk around Earls Colne, showing how important a simple or long walk can be for mental and physical health. As well as the Colchester Fellas Forum went to Yarra Farm while there, the guys got to meet and greet the animals, help out with weeding and watering on the Greenpath Ventures allotment, and then got to enjoy a BBQ.
