Meet our new apprentices

This month on Hidden Voices, we’ve released a podcast episode talking about everything relating to apprenticeships. At Healthwatch Essex, we are lucky to have several apprentices who contribute lots of knowledge and energy to our teams. Today we want to introduce our two newest Digital Marketing Apprentices, Max and Alicia, who joined the team back in September.

Max

Hello everyone, my name’s Max, I’m 18 and I just finished my A-Levels this summer. I studied media and film, which included creating a short film, a website, an online magazine and more – eventually I came to realise that my passion lies in the world of social media and content creation, but I wasn’t sure how I should pursue this.

I applied to universities while searching for apprenticeships at the same time, until I found this opening at Healthwatch Essex which stood out as a perfect opportunity for me.

I am one of the new Digital Marketing Apprentices here at Healthwatch Essex and my role will include posting and sharing content online, whether it’s through social media or creating articles for our website.

I enjoy filming and editing videos in my spare time, managing social media accounts as well as playing football weekly. I’m excited to be a part of the Healthwatch Essex team and can’t wait to contribute to the mission of making a positive impact on people in the community!

Alicia

Hey everyone, I’m Alicia, 18, and I am one of the new Digital Marketing Degree Apprentices here at Healthwatch Essex. I have recently finished my two-year course at Chelmsford College studying for an Extended Diploma in Creative Media Production & Technology.

Whilst in college I regularly thought about my next steps in my career as most of my friends were adamant that they wanted to go on a full-time university course. But this wasn’t the case for me as I was determined to pursue a role where I am gaining experience and developing my skills in education and in the workplace at the same time.

I have always had a passion for Marketing and Graphic Design since high school, doing my own photography, sketching and painting in my free time with my dogs at home, which is why I am very excited to have been given this opportunity and dive into this production of designing. I can’t wait to create amazing articles and campaigns with the public and the team, sharing amazing and courageous stories.

You can hear more about their apprenticeship experience so far on the podcast episode here.
