The East of England Ambulance Trust (EEAST) is looking for people from across Essex to help them increase public involvement in their work.
The EEAST has a Community Engagement Group (CEG) which does a variety of exciting work, including acting as a “critical friend”, listening to staff and feeding back queries and carrying out practical activities such as helping with infection prevention and control audits of vehicles and stations.
It is a voluntary position, which involves playing a key role in your own local community, by supporting community first responders and attending events to share information about the ambulance service, as well as hints and tips to help people to stay well. You would also support the ambulance service with helping people in your community understand the services they provide and when people should call for ambulance.
