Helping children understand COVID-19

Many children and young people across the country may have found aspects of the pandemic and subsequent lockdown distressing, confusing or isolating.

They may be feeling anxious, frustrated or alone and are surrounded by news or stories on social media which can be safe or scary.

A number of Clinical Commissioning Groups across Essex have come together to share resources which may be helpful for children trying to understand or come to terms with the way their lives have changed in the last few months.

The resources aim to provided a trusted source of information for children, so that they can dispel myths and misleading articles or hearsay. Parents may also find the resources useful to use with their children.
