  1. Abrasive, rude, unfriendly phone manner

    Tried to obtain info on prescription ordering. The offhand, rude manner of the person I spoke to was borderline offensive, but at the very least, completely unnecessary and unhelpful. Why don’t public-facing staff realise the difference it makes to their own day if they approach people with a will to help, instead of trying to bat them away like a troublesome wasp. Won’t go into the tedious tech issues re the web site. Suffice to say, I was just upset at the end of the call and that is ridiculous, when it could have been a pleasant, informative conversation that took a fraction of the time that was wasted going in circles because someone did not want to listen and respond respectfully. Anyway. On with my day.

  2. a great surgery that always responds

    I’ve been a client of Mersea Surgery for nearly 20 years and I just wanted to say how great they are. I have a chronic condition which has to be monitored and so I need a surgery that supports me, Mersea does this. Ordering medication is as simple as using the app, always dispensed in time, I have blood tests every month and I get a text reminder which gives a link so I can book a nurse appointment which fits with my working pattern, if I don’t get a text or I need a special blood test they call me to book. If I need a GP appt as long as you call at exactly 8am you nearly always get an appointment same day, if you miss appointments but are feeling really unwell they still fit you in. so all in all I cannot fault our surgery and the staff are all lovely.
