Carers FIRST are hosting a 4 week free carers HEART Course covering aspects of Health, Exercise, Attitude, Relaxation and Time. There are 12 places available and so places are booked on a first come first saved basis. The course is taking place every Friday in November – 8th, 15th, 22nd and 29th from 14:00 – 16:00 at St Nicholas Church Hall, Witham. Details of each session are below. Note that refreshments will be provided. Contact the charity if transport is an issue for you.

Laughter yoga is a new twist on an ancient practice. Not only does it help increase happiness, but it can also help strengthen the immune system, reduce pain and lowers stress. It triggers the release of endorphins, promoting an overall sense of well-being.
Have a go at seated exercise; ‘an exercise option for all ages’. This helps towards improving functional ability and strength.
Take part in a cookery class. Quick, simple and healthy nutritious ideas for breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks. Helping to understand the nutrients our bodies require and how foods, supplements and lifestyle changes might fulfil those requirements. You will get a chance to have a taste too.
