Capturing Children and Young People’s Experiences of Dyslexia

Healthwatch Essex has launched a new project where we will be capturing the experiences of children and young people (up to the age of 23) living with dyslexia via interviews and the survey, which can be accessed by clicking the pink box on the right.

These experiences will be shared anonymously in a mini report with organisations and schools/colleges who may be supporting young people for them to see what has worked well for the participants and what could be improved.

It will also be shared with dyslexia assessors to help them develop the diagnosis process and reduce young people’s anxiety when going through the assessment process.

The survey will ask you your experience of being diagnosed with dyslexia, the impact it has on you and what help and support you have received. All information you share will be anonymous.

If you have any questions about this survey or project, please contact our Engagement Officer, Renée Robey, at [email protected].
